The Brick Tent Sale Fund raiser CANCELLED
Looks like The Brick Kelowna prefers to support "Purple Ladies" instead of our junior program and cancelled our fund raising :-(
On Saturday, May 15th we will be helping with the BBQ at the Brick Tent Sale. All money earned will go towards the KDBC Junior program.
Please contact Deb if you can spare an hour to help out.
Don't forget to have Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at the Brick that day :-)

New steerers!
Great! We had a whole bunch of new steerers show up to the steerig clinic today. Thank you all for taking responsibility for the safety of our teams and everybody on the water!
Thanks also for the tireless paddling volunteers that came out for the practice session.
The wind made it tough but all our candidates did really well and are ready to steer at practices.

Shivering Spirit team makes a good impression during Deep Cove Dash

click for more pictures
Huddled together for warmth between races the KDBC Spirit team made a very good impression during the 200m races at Deep Cove (North Vancouver) yesterday. Winning all 3 qualifying sprints with very respectable times the team reached the A Finals Ladies division and held their own against opponents that practice several times during the week all year around.
These ladies are on track to achieve great things and will help put Kelowna on the West Coast Dragon Boat map.
GO KDBC SPIRIT!
